Obama Up in 6 out of 8 Critical States, But Will History Repeat Itself?

According to the polls (as of last Wednesday), Obama is up in six out of the eight swing states, four which are considered Republican states. This is, of course, very reassuring, but many of us remain unconvinced, and at the least, a little skeptical. And rightfully so. After all, these numbers are based on polls, and we all know there are a lot of things to consider when looking at rapidly-changing numbers in this election. There is always a margin of error, which is usually slight, but the fact that a black man has already made it this far combined with our less-than-perfect-vote-counting history leaves almost anything possible at this point.
